Jacob Morphis

Jacob Morphis was born and raised in Middle Tennessee. He has lived in Rutherford County for 27 years and has proudly called Murfreesboro home for the past 8 years. He graduated from MTSU with bachelor's degrees in 2012 and 2013.

For a few years after college, he had success managing a small business. Since, his career has primarily been in the nonprofit sector, with multi-million dollar agencies, where responsible resource stewardship is paramount, and results for stakeholders are crucial. Servant leadership that translates specifically to local public service. He currently serves in leadership roles with several organizations and works in the counter-human trafficking space with an agency serving victims of trafficking and educating the community on prevention.

Living a life of service and his love for Murfreesboro have led him to seek election to the Murfreesboro City Council. He believes in maintaining the character of Murfreesboro that all residents love, while growing into the future in ways that serve all residents long-term.
